Tell something about yourself

My name is Dr. Teena Rao from Rajasthan, the land of kings. l have done my post grads in Hindi and English literature. Blessed with a six year old daughter. I am a poetess and possess an immense love to write. I proudly quote myself as "Queen of my house".

What as per you is your strength?

I took my mother as my strength. She always taught me how to find solution to every problem. Now she is not on this earth but her teachings always surround me.

Do you suggest any thumb rule for the new mums or mums-to-be?

Motherhood journey is full of adventures. Enjoy it to the fullest as this time period never come back. We should take this responsibility as a stride.

How do you balance your married life and career?

I manage my family very well and try to fulfill all the wishes of my family members. l always tried to satisfy my family needs in every possible manner. Not only my husband but also all my family members around, are supportive. I say my husband, my life partner and my best friend.

What type of future, do you wish for your children?

I wish my daughter to get wonderful education and do something extraordinary for society and for her self. I wish her to grow up as a self dependent and powerful woman.

Can you figure out one similarity with - your mom and you as a mom?

My mother is very polite and very kind- hearted woman. I also inherited that kindness and politeness from her.

Do you feel - compromising on your career for your husband's job and transfer is acceptable?

If your husband is very supportive and very understanding person for you ,then, Yes, I feel, you should compromise your career for him. I believe this is not a compromise, but an understanding which will surely build a strong relationship.

That one mischief of your child/children on which you can laugh for long.

When my daughter was 10 months old. She was playing with talcum powder and she spread powder on her face. She looked so adorable with her adorable mischief. I always relish that cute moment.
