My Covid Story

"Test kyon karvaya, aaj kal kon karvata hai?"

"Booster dose ke kuchh din baad tak toh sabko hi positive aayega!"

"Positive aa bhi gaya tha, toh sab ko bataane ki kya jarurat thi. Chup karke ek room mein bheth jaate!"

Every phone call came with a different question and left a dilemma whether or not I have taken the right decision of getting tested and declaring in the campus.

Today, on 7th August'2022, I am brainstorming myself for the benefits and detriments.

DETRIMENTS OF DECLARING

  • Kids missed their studies and school.

  • Everybody in the house missed their outdoors.

  • My toddler was getting cranky for not letting him play with his friends. He was not able to eat well as outside food was not matching the taste of his mother's hands.

  • Husband was not able to concentrate on his office. After all, the whole pressure of kids and household came on him.

  • Internally, we apologize from the ones who were sharing our household help as she got restricted to enter in the society for three days.

BENEFITS OF DECLARING

  • The Biggest benefit is a WEEK's Rest.

  • I got "ME TIME" to complete all the pending stuff.

  • Everybody in the house realized the depth of household chores.

  • And THE TOP OF ALL - INNER SATISFACTION

The feeling that I helped in breaking the chain of virus spread. The feeling that I have successfully fulfilled my social responsibility.

I am a teacher, I carry a big responsibility of my students and the society in general. The heavenly contentment!

Now, let me share my symptoms-

1st August'2022 - MORNING - Down with fever around 100 degree and body ache.

EVENING - Fever continues with mild cough

2nd August'2022- MORNING- Same symptoms continues

AFTERNOON- Decided to get tested with self-test kit- Got positive result. Gave sample for RTPCR.

EVENING - Reports stated positive.

NIGHT - Declared at my work place and society campus

-----AND THEN------

EVERYTHING AT HALT FOR A WEEK.

Would suggest everyone reading it, to help breaking the chain.

Stay happy, stay positive

Happy Reading

Jaspreet
